    Puppy Application

Please know that the application below is as much about me getting to know your family (so I can be sure you're a good home for one of my babies) as it is about me ensuring that I place the perfect pup in your home (which is a good breeder's job).

Telling me about yourself is the very best way to get the perfect puppy for your family and your life. I have required certain questions be answered because temperament is a million times more important than sex or color. Our puppies fall in a narrow range of temperaments but that cannot be said of all puppy breeders.

That cute buff female puppy (as an example) isn't worth anything if she bites your child or won't come out from under the bed to play. When you're searching for a puppy remember that temperament is inherited from parents and that temperament will be greatly amplified (for the worse or for the better) depending on how the litter is raised early on.

Temperament is always about a billion times more important than color, pattern, size and sex (though those are fun to choose too and can be a deciding factor, just not the deciding factor.).

    Basic Information

Tell Me What You're Looking For

If you want a dog for a job other than spoiled family pet please know I will NOT charge you more money for the extra testing and the altered puppy-choosing process. I'm here to help you get what you want or need, not to price-gouge.

Are you local? If not we can certainly get your puppy to you, but it requires a little more thought and work.

Cockapoos are a low-shedding "hypo-allergenic" dog breed but individual coat-type can make a significant difference when choosing a puppy. I can make appropriate recommendations

What do you like about the Cockapoo breed?

Frightened neighbor or previously bitten child? Or maybe your toddler likes to jump and yell and hug dogs a lot?

Cockapoo Coat Type: Bearded or Smooth

It is extremely hard to tell which puppies will be bearded and which will be smooth coated. Puppies change dramatically as they age and grow. My multi-generational Cockapoos are all low-shedding regardless of coat type. F1 pups (which I do not breed) are those that are bred from a cocker parent crossed with a poodle parent and they sometimes shed heavily, especially the smooth coated variety.

The only way to guarantee coat type is to have a lab look at a pup's DNA. This is done using a cheek swab (no blood draw). I will happily perform the tests and send them off to the lab for you, if you'd like it done. You'll be responsible for the lab fees ($60-110) but I don't charge for the collection procedures. If you want a specific coat this test is the route to take. Isn't modern science amazing? :-)
If you answered "other" or that the pup's coat is important but you don't want the test performed please explain why here.

    Pet Ownership Experience

There are no "wrong" answers. Sometimes we make mistakes and learn from them (or not) and other times we make the unpopular decision for the right reasons and proudly stand by our choices. Have these things happened to you in regards to animals?

Select one from the drop down box

I have to have a little fun :-)

Tell Me About Yourself and Family

Knowing how often the puppy will be alone can help you select a puppy that will be happy in those kinds of circumstances. Some pups are independent and some are needy.

Looks and Other Trivial (but fun) Things

You're all done (if you want to be). Only one question below is required. However it is helpful if you do take the time to fill it out. This is the very best way for you to tell me what you're looking for so that I have it in one place and can readily refer to it and help you get the puppy that best fits your preferred physical appearance.
