Welcome friends of the faithful canine

Eden Orchards is a small scale breeder of American cockapoo puppies in beautiful New Jersey (about mid state). We raise cockapoos for sale as service dogs, therapy working dogs, Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) & as all-around amazing family companions. This beautiful breed, when produced for sound temperament, makes an amazing working dog as well as a patient, loving friend for children. Cockapoos make excellent Rally Obedience dogs for the novice and for the casual competitor. Small and fluffy does not mean we can't be serious and attentive when you need us to be! Raised with love and primed for training our puppies are simply the best.
What is the Eden dog difference? Quality breeding is a science tempered with art. Here at Eden Orchards we understand the art of developing solid lines that produce puppies that are healthy and true to type. We DNA test our dogs to eradicate health concerns (anyone that says "hybrid vigor" exempts their dogs from health concerns is dishonest) and offer DNA tests on puppies when requested for coat type. If you are set on a specific look we are able to give our prospective new puppy parents 100% assurance that you have fallen in love with a puppy that has the coat variety you prefer. We are dedicated to the improvement of this breed and our puppies are the result of dedication and extremely careful and selective breeding.
The Eden's Exclusive 'Early Training for Excellence' program was designed to ensure that every puppy we raise is given the absolute best start in life and the best opportunity possible to ensure their first home (after their home here) is their forever home. Our goal is to set our new puppy parents up with the knowledge and the best-fit puppy to create a deep, loving and permanent bond with their new furry baby.
We begin with the finest puppies bred for excellence in temperament and then we raise them in such a way as to shape and improve the qualities and behaviors that make them such excellent dogs. This gives them a true head start in life and primes them to be the very best dogs they can possibly be. Our program has been very carefully developed to produce confident, capable and intelligent dogs that are fun and easy to train.
Our Message comes through in everything we do. Ethical and loving breeding standards are extremely important to our family. We hope to encourage puppy seekers to look for the best breeders to avoid unhealthy dogs with poor temperament which results in many heartbreaks and often with ultimate loss. It is also important to us to discourage the funding of inhumane breeding practices. Please understand that finding a truly high-quality puppy in any breed is typically a several-month long process. It can be hard to wait for the right dog from the right kennel but at the same time your commitment to your to-be puppy is imperative to creating a lasting relationship. Puppies are never a good impulse choice and will not be adopted out in this way. We want you to be happy and we know that, in the end, that is a choice that is unlikely to make you happy.
Our goal is to help you, not sell to you. Our puppies sell themselves as they are able to display excellence in all they do. Our job regarding our human clients is to teach you as much as possible and guide you through the process of selecting and starting out with your new family addition. A new puppy is a commitment that will be a part of your daily life for over a decade. We believe in ensuring you choose the right companion for all the right reasons and our goal is to share the love we have for these dogs with all the amazing people out there looking for that missing furry piece to their heart.
When looking for a puppy remember that all puppies are cute and sweet. Temperament problems do not make themselves apparent to the casual buyer until the pup is already purchased and home (some issues not even revealed until 12 weeks of age). You don't just want a cute dog; you want is a puppy that will live to a ripe old age while possessing a sound temperament and the qualities expected for this breed. Look carefully when choosing your breeder. Try to remember when you purchase your puppy: You don't buy the puppy, you buy the breeder.
Loving homes are always welcome to become a part of the Eden Orchards' family!

I have been completely behind on responding to emails, inquries and applications as I haven't had a litter with available puppies for quite a while. -- (We have had puppies born/raised here but due to the long wait list none have been available for some time)
You can see what I have been up to on our Facebook for Eden Orchards (links at the top and bottom of this page). You do not need a Facebook account to look at our page. I update several times a week to Facebook.

When I have puppies available I respond to inquiries Mondays and Wednesdays and any days in between that I can find the time. Please know I most certainly care about your messages and I do try to respond asap so please have patience and don't hesitate to send another email (in case I have accidentally missed your message).
Do not ever feel like you are "bugging" me or harassing me with recurrent emails. Truly you are not. I receive over 500 inquiries a month along with another 400+ applications from all very lovely people. It is very easy to get lost in that kind of flow. Please do not hesitate to send me a bunch of emails asking for a response. When I see repeated emails I typically make extra time somewhere to respond as quickly as possible.
Due to the massive inflow of messages I ask all my current clients (anyone that has placed a deposit or has brought home a dog or puppy) to please text message or call me on my personal cell phone (I provide the number when we have established a breeder/new family relationship) I typically do not respond to phone calls from numbers I do not have programmed into my contacts due to a massive volume of inquiry phone calls I receive. So if you are a client I will program you into my phone and text is the fastest way to reach me.
The 2 weeks after you bring your new baby home are typically the times you will want to speak with me the most or even the most urgently. Understand that I while I am truly very busy those weeks are all yours. The new pet parents of any litter are an important priority to me and I will do my utmost to be available to you literally 24 hours a day those first puppy training days.
So while it can be a bit of a pain in the rear to contact me initially, you can rest assured that once you have decided that we are a good match and have placed your deposit you will have reasonable access to me & priority access when you bring home one of my babies.
Warm regards and tail wags,
-Annette
