Sensory Board
I designed the sensory board to be an easy collection of various textures and surfaces that your puppy may come into contact with in the first year of his/her life. These items are affixed to a large tri-fold presentation board. The items affixed to this sensory board include:

Puppies are started on the carpet center individually and allowed to explore the board at will. After each puppy has a turn on the board then they are placed in groups of two or three to crawl and explore together. Later all the puppies are placed on the board together. Generally they seek out their favorite, softest spot and pile up for a nap by this point.
The puppies have about 5 encounters with the sensory board (using the method described above) during their 3rd and 4th weeks as they are learning to become steady walkers.
